Marching band

Our fine arts music curriculum includes the SJNA Marching Band, Concert Band, the Pipes and Drums and the Herald Trumpets corps. Students are prominently involved in campus and community events, and frequently travel to perform and compete nationally.

Pipes and Drums

The Pipes and Drums of St. John’s Northwestern Academies leads our formal military parades, holds concerts on and off campus, and competes regionally and nationally. The program began in 1917 after a cadet from Scotland joined the school band as the only piper. The pipers adopted and still wear the Clan Davidson tartan, in honor of Col. Harlan Page Davidson, founder of Northwestern Military & Naval Academy. Today nearly 40 students participate.
