Giving to SJNA

At St. John's Northwestern Academies, each generous gift, no matter the amount can make an impact in a student's life and help propel the next 140 years of success at SJNA.

This year’s annual fund campaign, The ERA of Excellence, focuses on the five key areas below to elevate St. John’s Northwestern Academies. These critical improvements will prepare our students for the future, offering new programs, courses, and clubs, along with updated facilities and better living conditions.

Despite a legacy that spans over a century, SJNA is committed to delivering a modern education that meets the demands of today’s world. We’ve introduced innovative programs like Engineering, Robotics, and Aviation, as well as a Drone Certification Program, and transitioned to an open-source learning approach by removing traditional textbooks from the classroom. While we’ve made strides by installing smartboards and improving classroom WiFi, there’s more to be done. Our goal is to update each learning space to a digital classroom and introduce advanced interactive technology, fostering a more immersive learning experience.

Student safety is our top priority. We’ve recently upgraded critical systems like the fire alarms in Scott Johnston Hall, but there’s still more to be accomplished. With your support, we aim to further enhance campus security by upgrading our surveillance cameras, installing new door locks, and implementing additional measures that will create a safer environment for all students.

Our students’ enthusiasm for physical fitness and sports inspires us to provide them with top-tier facilities. We’ve recently enhanced our weight room, and it’s been a tremendous success. This year, we’re committed to expanding these resources, with plans for a new trainers' room, additional state-of-the-art equipment, and a full support staff to ensure our athletes receive the care and training they need to excel.

With the significant progress made last year, we’re excited to continue our work in modernizing our campus. Future plans include repairing our historic fountains and clock tower, creating a new student hangout space, and further advancing our Dorm Refurbishment Campaign. These projects are more than just improvements; they’re an investment in the vibrant campus life that defines SJNA.

As we expand our international reach, we’re focused on building a globally connected campus. Our vision includes strengthening and adding to our dual diploma programs with partnering countries, increased promotional efforts through our agents abroad, and stronger connections with international alumni. These initiatives will provide our students with a truly global perspective, enriching their educational journey and fostering lifelong connections with peers around the world.

The Heritage Society

The Heritage Society recognizes SJNA’s most gracious donors. Donors are recognized annually at the Heritage Society Dinner, hosted in early October. Members are also listed on our Honor Roll of Donors in the DeKoven Hallway as well as in our annual addition of the Beacon.

There are three circles within the society: Leaders, Loyalty, & Legacy.

The Leaders Circle recognizes annual giving of $1,884 or more. Members will be awarded with a pin to display their membership.

The Loyalty Circle recognizes lifetime giving starting at $50,000. All members will be awarded with a medal to represent their membership in the Loyalty Circle.

The Legacy Circle is reserved for donors who have planned gifts through a will, trust, annuity, or other vehicles. Members will be awarded with a medal to distinguish their membership.

Additionally, donors can choose to join The 1884 Club, which guarantees membership in the Leaders circle for three years. 1884 Club members make a three-year commitment of $1,884 or more.
