July Alumni Spotlight: Roberto Morris ’97 Captain, Golf Company CO
After graduating from St. John’s Northwestern, Roberto pursued a BA in Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), he later completed a masters degree (MSC) in public policy and administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has also taken classes and received credits from JFK School of Government at Harvard University and the Escuela Libre de Derechio in Mexico City. Roberto has more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of communication and public affairs, including but not limited to four presidential elections in Mexico and has advised several acting governors as well as national and international companies and NGO’s. Because of his success and hard work he has been recognized by receiving several awards including being listed as one of the top 100 most influential political consultants in LATAM by Washington COMPOL Magazine. He most recently has been featured on the cover of Campaigns and Elections Magazine, LATAM Edition. He also works as a consultant, teacher, and a frequent participant in national and international media outlets.
Roberto is the founder and president of Nucleo Communication, a political and cooperate communications firm where they offer integral communications strategies, media relations, political consultancy as well as workshops in public speaking, media training and message development.
He has a passion to help children. When he was in college he lived in Chiapas for nine months teaching the students in an indigenous community. His many years of Tae Kwon Do that he learned here at SJNA allowed him to connect and teach this sport to the indigenous girls and boys. He also sits on the Advisory Board for Antes de Partir, a foundation which seeks to better the life of children with terminal cancer.
