TRANSCRIPT: CAT: Hi, and welcome to Cat Chat, a program where you get to chat with me, Cat, the college and career counselor here at St. John’s. Today I want to talk to you about college applications. You might be wondering what I’m doing on the rappel tower, where I’m going to get to that in just a minute here. But much like college applications, sometimes it just takes a leap of faith to get them done.

So if you’re scared, much like I am with heights, sometimes it just takes a little bit of courage. Dig in, get them done, face those fears, and make sure that you are giving yourself the best opportunity. And with that, ready? I think I’m ready. Are you ready? I’m ready. Let’s get off this propel tower now.

And much like the college admissions process, sometimes there are hiccups and delays in applying, but that’s okay. You find the support, you get the help that you need, like visiting me in Room 116. Don’t ask Trione for help with college applications. So, Class of 2025, it is time to get those applications done, make sure that you approach them with confidence, and just hit that submit button.
