Podziemski Continues Stellar Rookie Season, Named NBA Rising Star
DELAFIELD, Wis. – The No. 19 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and a 2021 graduate of St. John’s Northwestern Academies, Brandin Podziemski continues to shine in his rookie season. “Podz” recently picked up an “Rising Star” accolade from the NBA, and continues to stuff the stat sheet.
In a recent 97-84 win over the Charlotte Hornets, the Golden State Warriors first-round draft pick notched 13 points, six rebounds and six assists. For Podziemski, that marked his 15th game with at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists, which is the most among all NBA rookies in the 2023-24 season.

After earning his spot on the floor early in the season, Podziemski has worked his way into a very crucial role with the Warriors and has started 17 games this season and is averaging 26.6 minutes per game and a strong 9.9 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and 3.9 assists per game.
For his contributions, the former Lancer was also named a “Rising Star” at the 2024 NBA All Star festivities in Indianapolis.
