Podziemski Strong in Return to Milwaukee: Ties Career Best in Points

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – In his triumphant return to his home state, St. John’s Northwestern Academies alum Brandin Podziemski took center stage and made a statement on Saturday night (Jan. 13) against the Milwaukee Bucks.

A 2021 graduate of SJNA and first-round draft pick by the Golden State Warriors, Podziemski tied his career high in points with 23 and added 10 boards to secure a double-double in front of the hometown crowd.

The highlight of the night for “Podz” was a step-back three over 2-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Despite the strong performance from Podziemski, the Bucks would prevail on the night 129-118. The former Lancer great was supremely efficient from the field knocking down 10-14 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc.
