SJNA Honors LTC Kiriazis Retirement & Full-Time Appointment to JROTC Program

DELAFIELD, Wis. – On Saturday, March 2, St. John’s Northwestern Academies hosted a retirement ceremony for Lieutenant Colonel Ioannis (John) Kiriazis who is joining the academies after a decorated career in the United States Army.

Since September, John has been serving at SJNA in an internship program called “Skillbridge.” During his tenure, John worked with the SJNA and JROTC faculty and Cadets to gain insights into the military academy and contribute to the school’s mission of building our Cadets to become the best they can be.

For Kiriazis, March 2’s special event marks the conclusion of his Army career, but also the blossoming of another as SJNA is thrilled to have him joining the team full-time to help guide our Cadets as Commandant for the St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy

A West Point and Naval War College graduate with almost three decades of service as a U.S. Army Officer, he has solid experiences as an institutional director and educator. From his appointment as the Professor of Military Science at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to serving as the Director for Training Support Activity on the Korean Peninsula and through leading combat operations in Iraq, he is so excited to join the Saint John’s Northwestern Academy team.
