Historic Firsts

First introduced in 2018, our female student body at SJNA has experienced rapid growth, successfully breaking down barriers for future generations. Sean Harres, a standout cadet, has earned her place as the first female from SJNA to attend a service academy. This fall, she will be joining the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, where she is poised to continue making SJNA proud with her achievements and dedication.

Sean’s journey at SJNA has been consistently groundbreaking. In 2023, she became the first female valedictorian in our academy’s history.

Chauff West Point Story sized

From Delafield to West Point

A 2020 graduate of St. John’s Northwestern Academies, Skyler Chauff graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point on May 25, 2024, with a pair of the highest awards a graduating cadet can receive.

For his academic achievements, Chauff earned the title of Valedictorian for the Class of 2024, which featured 1,036 graduating cadets. Chauff posted an incredible 4.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.33 scale to take home the honor. An amazing accomplishment in itself, but it wasn’t the only award he claimed.

Pathway to Officership

Our "Pathway" program is meant distinctly for those students looking to attend a military service academy or receive a JROTC scholarship after graduation.

You will experience expanded guidance from instructors, more responsibility among your peers and be challenged to stretch just a little bit farther than you thought you could.

No. Being apart of this program does not mean you’re required to participate in the military after graduation. While many of our graduates are admitted to the five military service academies, many advance to the colleges, universities, and professional schools of their choice.

At SJNA, we tailor our program to the needs of each individual student.

Absolutely! Our goal is to give all students the tools they need to pursue their chosen path. For those interested in attending the military service academies, our preparation stands out. For seven years running, St. John’s Northwestern has held the record for the most West Point appointments. Our JROTC program achieved a perfect score—almost unheard-of among military academies.

Testimonial

“SJNMA is the only high school in Wisconsin with a graduate in every class [at West Point], including 2024. This is a great testament to the academic program and leadership development training of SJNA.”

Major General Paul Lima | US Army (Retired) | President, St. John’s Northwestern Academies
