About

St. John's Northwestern

Since 1884, St. John’s Northwestern Academies has served as an independent, private college preparatory school in Delafield, Wisconsin. We offer both boarding and day school for aspiring boys and girls from middle school through high school along with post graduate programs.

Our mission at SJNA is to educate and develop young men and women to be responsible citizens, as well as moral and ethical leaders who are inspired to take advantage of today and tomorrow’s opportunities. SJNA founder Sydney Smythe felt that "the way to get the most out of a student is to make them reach just a little farther than they had supposed their arms could stretch."

Through a strategic partnership with DME Academy, out of Daytona, Florida - SJNA now offers a unique pathway for student-athletes that demand more from their athletic and academic experiences.

Students can earn their Private Pilot License and their EMT State Certification through our Aviation Science and Initial Emergency Medical Technician Program

Starting in the 2023-24 academic year, SJNA and DME will work together to amplify the sports program. The joint venture kicks off with 11 year NBA veteran Wesley Person, currently at DME Academy in Daytona, Florida, bringing the successful DME basketball academy to SJNA
