COLLEGE COUNSELING: COACHING FOR THE TRANSITION

We go beyond standard college counseling to set students on their path

College coaching at St. John’s Northwestern guides students through one of life’s most important transitions, moving from high school to higher education. We help students explore potential paths and make the choices now that support their dreams for the future. Whatever direction they take, our graduates are prepared to learn, lead and excel.

Work with a counselor who knows you and your dreams

Our professionals provide 1:1 college counseling to every student, helping them identify and apply to schools that will value their passions, talents and personal qualities. While our entire curriculum emphasizes preparation for college, we help students and families formally start the college search process in 11th grade.

Take a proven approach to develop your plans

During junior year, our high school students take a half-credit course to explore and develop post-graduation plans, write application essays, and receive further standardized test preparation. Students continue to work closely with their counselor to complete applications and manage decision-making. Our goal is to ensure students advance to the educational institution most appropriate for their preparation, talents and potential.

Connect with prestigious colleges and universities

An average of 30 college representatives visit St. John’s Northwestern each year.
