Podziemski Set For Year Two: NBA Announces 2024-25 Schedule

DELAFIELD, Wis. – The National Basketball Association (NBA) recently released the full 2024-25 schedule, and St. John’s Northwestern Academies alum and current member of the Golden State Warriors, Brandin Podziemski, is poised to build off his impressive rookie season.

Podziemski, a 2021 graduate of SJNA, capped his rookie season by being named to the 2023-24 NBA All-Rookie First Team after a stellar opening season with the Golden State Warriors.

“Podz” and the Warriors will open the preseason tomorrow (Oct. 9) at 9:30 p.m. CST when they face off against Keegan Murray, a 2020 graduate of DME Academy, and the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

Over the summer, Podziemski and Murray were both part of the USA Select Team that helped prepare Team USA to win gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

On Wednesday, October 23, the Warriors open the 2024-25 regular season with a showdown against the Portland Trail Blazers, who also feature a DME alumni in Kris Murray. Kris was selected just two picks behind Podz in the 2023 NBA Draft.

For Lancer fans interested in seeing Podziemski back home in Milwaukee, the Warriors meet the Bucks on Monday, February 10 at the Fiserv Forum. Last season, Podz exploded for his best game of the season in his home state with 23 points and 10 rebounds to the delight of a strong contingent of Lancer fans.
