SJNA Strengthens Global Partnerships in China
On June 17th, Vice President Eric Sanchez and Director of International Partnerships Justin Poupart returned to China to further advance SJNA’s Global Partnerships and Dual Diploma Program.
Graduation Milestone – Qingren Academy
Qingren Academy in Dongguan, is one of SJNA’s key partner schools. The 2024-2025 academic year marked the inaugural year of the partnership, and the first ten graduating seniors of the SJNA, Qingren Dual Diploma Program.
“What a great honor for these students to be part of the first graduating class in our partner program, and now part of our SJNA alumni community,” said Sanchez.
School Signing – New Oriental Foreign Language School (NOFLS), Yangzhou
Eric and Justin then took part in an official signing ceremony with SJNA’s newest partner, New Oriental Foreign Language School (NOFLS) in Yangzhou.
“We were honored to join in this special ceremony and officially welcome the newest school to our Dual Diploma Program,” said Sanchez.
Yangzhou’s rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality made the visit especially memorable. “It was a pleasure meeting the incredible faculty and staff, who are clearly committed to educational excellence,” said Poupart.
SJNA is excited to build a meaningful partnership with NOFLS and looks forward to a long, successful collaboration.
Alumni Engagement – Tony Wang ’13, Jiayi Chen ’24, and Ziyi Su ’25
Between meetings, the SJNA team reconnected with three outstanding alumni: Tony Wang (Class of ’13), Jiayi Chen (’24), and Ziyi Su (’25).
“It was inspiring to see how SJNA’s structure and leadership foundation shaped their growth and success,” said Sanchez. A video capturing their reflections and SJNA experiences will be shared soon across SJNA media platforms.
SJNA Global Academy Partnership Conference – Tianjin
On June 28-29, Vice President Sanchez and Director Poupart hosted the first annual SJNA Global Academy Partnership Conference (known informally as “The June Conference”) in Tianjin.
The conference welcomed representatives from all three Chinese partner schools: Qingren Academy, Fayao High School, and Beijing New Oriental Foreign Language School Yangzhou.
The goal of the 2025 conference was to unite the partner schools under a shared vision for the Chinese market, facilitating collaboration around academic alignment, resource sharing, marketing strategy, and expanded program support.
“We have a great group of educators who are committed to the success of their programs and students. We are extremely excited about the future of our partnerships in China.” said Poupart
Each school introduced its unique strengths and future plans, and together, the group reviewed academic expectations and curriculum standards to ensure all students are fully prepared to meet SJNA’s graduation requirements.
As the 2024- 2025 school year marked the inaugural launch of SJNA’s Dual Diploma partnerships in China, the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year presents an exciting opportunity to build on that foundation. The June Conference will now serve as an annual touchpoint to enhance academic programming, introduce new initiatives, and deepen relationships across the SJNA Global network
