St. John’s Northwestern Academies Appoints Scott D. Pavlock, Command Sergeant Major U.S. Army (Retired) as an Army Instructor and Acting Department Chair in SJNMA’s JROTC Department.

DELAFIELD, Wis., January 26, 2022 – President of St. John’s Northwestern Academies, Paul Edwin Lima, Major General, U.S. Army (Retired) is pleased to announce that Scott D. Pavlock, Command Sergeant Major U.S. Army (Retired), will be joining the SJNMA JROTC Department today, January 26, 2022. He will be an Army Instructor and Acting Department Chair during the second semester.

I have been interviewing officer candidates for the position of Senior Army Instructor to begin during the summer period. This will mean that the JROTC Department will have 3 instructors for the fall semester 2022 and be well-positioned to expand its offerings to our cadets.

CSM Pavlock has completed extensive background checks at Fort Knox along with our internal process. He is certified as a JROTC instructor by Cadet Command and will receive instructor training in February.

As a citizen soldier and law enforcement veteran, Scott Pavlock is uniquely prepared to teach the JROTC curriculum and mentor our cadets. He has the interpersonal skills to relate well to our cadets and become, in short order, one of their trusted advisors.

CSM Pavlock is completing a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and has a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command as well as the Sergeants Major Academy. Prior to joining SJNA, he was the Director of the Wisconsin Challenge Academy at Fort McCoy, responsible for managing over 300 high school age “at-risk” cadets.

Scott served over 30 years in law enforcement as a Detective, Youth/Juvenile Officer, and the head of his Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. He retired from the Army in 2016 as a Division CSM.
