St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy offers a progressive, college preparatory education in an optimal learning environment. SJNMA was founded on four pillar principals: Academics, Character Development, Leadership, and Athletics.

The military model is a winning formula for development. Feedback and reinforcement from adult mentors paired with recognition for effort help young people set goals and overcome obstacles.

Learn. Lead. Excel.

Our Four Pillars

Academics

St John’s Northwestern provides challenging, personalized instruction tailored to each student’s needs and abilities.

Spiritual Life

Cadets are taught the importance of service before self through a variety of volunteer opportunities in the community.

Athletics

We believe that athletic competition instills valuable life lessons, whether varsity level competition or intramural sports and activities.

Leadership

Cadet cadre in formation

The structured, military-style environment at St. John’s Northwestern provides ample opportunities for cadets to take on leadership roles.

Campus Life

Cadets can stay busy on campus with a variety of athletic activities, after-school clubs, and social opportunities. There is also a cadet store where cadets can get uniforms and spirit wear. The mess hall and student center offers various dining options for the cadets on campus as well. Excursions to different areas, such as restaurant outings and ski trips, are also offered to keep cadets entertained while away from campus.
