SJNA Debate Team Victorious in WISDAA March Event

DELAFIELD, Wis. – The SJNA Debate Team won a nail biter in the Impromptu Motion in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech & Dramatic Arts Association (WISDAA) March Event against the University School of Milwaukee. 

The schools finished tied on total points, and SJNA was awarded the victory in a tiebreaker. The SJNA Debate Team members who each had strong days were Carl Swanson, Marcus Hagen, and Jack Bickers.

Jack Bickers tied for the top overall score out of any of the 4 schools competing at the meet in any round with a tally of 76 points. Marcus Hagen had the second highest score of any round with 75, and the team improved their overall record to 4-1 for the season.

Next up for the SJNA Debate Team is the State Meet on April 19th and 20th.
